Bluebell Open Weekend

A wonderful weekend of bluebell heaven

Every spring since 2017 we have been welcoming the general public to enjoy a walk to witness the carpet of bluebells that covers Deer Wood.

"Wanted to say a big thank you for opening up your woodland to view the bluebells and meet such interesting people dedicated to nature. The visit enriched our day out in the area. Wishing you all the best for future endeavours. The world needs more people like your team. "
Malcolm - Bluebell Open Weekend 2022

When the bluebells are at their fullest, (which is usually at the end of April/beginning of May) we invite the local and wider community to join us in celebrating one of nature's most stunning and increasingly rare sights - all full bluebell woodland at it's beautiful best.

We decided to open the gates of Deer Wood in 2017, wishing to share this spectacular sight with our local community.

Year after year this event has grown, not just in the number of visiters but in what we have to show as a social enterprise and from 2023 as a C.I.C.

The launch of the Outdoor Circular Shelter saw the largest ever number of people, travelling from all over the South West.

We value the feedback and support of the local community and listen to their ideas and have had many illuminating conversations with people from all walks of life.

Look out for dates for the next Bluebell Open Weekend on our events and Facebook pages
