LAURA BUTT

DWT has been with us from the very start of our woodland conservation journey; giving expert advice, connecting us to other landowners and holding events here.

They have been amazing advocates of our work and we are incredibly grateful for all they continue to do.

Special thanks to Lynne Kenderdine (pictured on the left).

The Native Tree Nursery will be featured on their Devon Wilder Communities website.

Grown in Britain certification reduces unnecessary imports, by encouraging and supporting active and sustainable management of our own forests and woodlands. As a not-for-profit, they are committed to supporting the forestry and forest products supply chain.

We have held a Grown in Britain  Certificate for the Deer Wood Native Tree Nursery and our sustainable woodland management strategy since 2019.

Art Therapist and Circle of Trees specialist practitioner, Laura Butt has been running her monthly Circle of Trees group sessions in the Well being Area at Deer Wood since Oct 2022. She has  also been collaborating on several diffrent aspects of the work here:  co-ordinating and co-hosting social outreach programmes for our target beneficiaries, co-hosting Deer Wood day retreats and co-developing corporate green teambuilding/de-stress days.

BIGBURY NET ZERO

Kingsbridge Climate Action is a community-focused group tackling the climate and nature emergency in positive and engaging ways. They seek out solutions, share resources and ideas, and organise change-promoting events that work towards a better future for all.

We have assisted on key events and continue to cross-pollinate with ideas and support.

The Force 4 Nature volunteer teams (led by Gary Joliff founder of Till the Coast is Clear)  provide a friendly, motivated and increasingly experienced and well-equipped work force to projects large and small that are actively giving nature the helping hand it needs to recover and thrive. The teams have been assisting us with all manner of vital woodland work since 2020.

As part of its larger environmental aim Bigbury Net Zero organises, supports and advertises projects and events that focus on eco-friendly living, protecting wildlife habitats and raising awareness of the climate and nature emergency.

We have supported at awareness raising events   including the Beach Assembly and Planet Local.
