AT DEER WOOD
Pollinator Special in conjunction with
Kingsbridge Nature Festival

Lisa & Marc, Co-founders of The Deer Wood Trust C.I.C., are opening the gates of their home Deer Wood.
Back for Kingsbridge Nature Festival, they will be giving a personal guided tour of their off-grid life, showing how they live and work, all in harmony with this beautiful native woodland.
It is a fantastic opportunity to learn about how these ‘Woodland Permaculturalists’ let nature lead in all aspects of how they co-exist with it in a mutually beneficial way, where the guiding principles are to nurture nature and bring well-being to both people and the planet.
Join Lisa & Marc on a walk and talk around the wood, the native tree nursery, their off-grid home, the permaculture garden, and learning and well-being areas for an inspiring insight into how we can all be in greater alignment with the Earth and increase bio-diversity through bringing in pollinator-friendly planting schemes to any space, rural or urban.
Please arrive between 10.45 – 11.00am so we can park you as the tour begins immediately.

COST – A pay-what-you-feel donation is gratefully received and goes towards our conservation work and social outreach programmes.
SPACES: There is parking for 10 cars and room for up to 20 people (lift sharing recommended), only suitable for children over 10yrs old & must be accompanied by an adult.

If you have sat nav it will take you to where the fork in the road is ( as described below) & you need to turn right into the wood.
It is nearly all single-track lanes so please drive slowly and mindfully.
Please ensure your footwear is clean of any mud, you will also be required to dip the soles in our bio-security footbath before you walk through the wood as we have to be very careful about biological contamination ATM due to the prevalence of tree disease in this country.

Directions-
1. If approaching from the A38 side go right at Loddiswell Butts and very carefully take the 1st sharp right turn by the Blackler Autos signage.
- If approaching from the Kingsbridge side turn left into Loddiswell Butts and go straight ahead into the road that runs in between the 2 industrial parks.
(Blackler autos sign & South Hams Car Parts on the right.) - Go past the green Loddiswell Business Park sign to the left and after 1/4 mile take the 1st turning left on the bend (signpost as a dead end) down into a valley.
- Go 1/4 mile bear left past Alleron.
- Go down a long hill then around some bendy bits and over a small stone bridge.
- Then after a 100 yds the road forks & we are on the right with the metal gate.
Please park up on the left.
