An Introduction to Woodland Horticulture

An Introduction to Woodland Horticulture
Holistic approaches to growing
Native trees from seeds
Sunday July 6th
10.30 am – 4.00 pm
An introductory course for those already involved in a CTN (Community Tree Nursery), those who wish to set one up or anyone who wishes to learn more about growing trees holistically.
This course gives you the chance to learn a range of holistic approaches to growing Native trees from seed within a woodland setting.
The Deer Wood Trust works with holistic approaches throughout the woodland, in all that they do. This includes permaculture principles and well-being experiences. As their Native tree nursery is located within ancient woodland, this offers a very special experience to learn about growing in a CTN that is right in the heart of the mature trees that provide the seeds for growing.
The session aims to support your learning to develop your own CTN or to help you with your plans to set up a new CTN. Marc will also explain the benefits of using Mycorrhizal inoculum for growing.
There are limited spaces available, so please book early.
For Groups of 6-8 people
Cost: sliding scale £60, £70 or £80 (without lunch). Add another £15 for a plant-based, organic hot lunch.
